I've been super busy here at liberty so I don't get much time for blogging, but I've been starting my days a bit earlier so I have a small amount of time to blog! :)
I've been working on my application to become a prayer leader and in the application it ask you some basis questions about Christian beliefs and ask for scripture to back it up. So I've been doing some extra studying and searching in the bible these days and I came across Galatians 5.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told [you] in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those [who are] Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5:19-24
I saw this and it really made me think to myself what do I have more of in my life works of the flesh or fruit of the spirit. I think it is good to evaluate yourself every so often (better daily) and think what do I need to work on. You know :)
